Once you arrive, just hang the kitchen on the outside wall and cook in the open air.
Compact but complete
The stove has three gas burners, plus a tap and sink inside. With the 85-litre compressor fridge you have plenty of room to keep all your food cool.
Extra space with an outdoor table
For extra space when cooking outside there's the outdoor table, which you can attach almost anywhere on the caravan's outer wall. On the road you store it easily behind the luggage hatch, in a special holder under the bench.

Sleep in comfort
In the Kompakt you sleep in a generous double bed. Want more room during the day? Just turn the foot of the bed into a two-seater in no time. Or make it a table with plenty of seating, suitable for up to six people. Need an extra seat or a guest bed? Go for the Travel version. Who will you invite?
Plenty of storage
When you travel compact, you don't want to be searching for your things all the time. That's why you'll find more than enough storage in the Kompakt. Clutter is a thing of the past thanks to the overhead lockers, the flaps under the benches and, depending on the version, a tall wardrobe. Now that's freedom, isn't it?
Perfect driving characteristics
At 184 cm the Kompakt is narrower than most cars. That means you have an optimal view of the road. You won't need extension towing mirrors either.
Thanks to the pop-up roof, the caravan is only 225 cm high behind the car. With this aerodynamic model you glide along the roads and use less fuel too. The Kompakt is also ideal for electric cars. Another plus: with the roof folded down, the Kompakt fits under most carports.
This caravan is lightweight, too. So whether you're cruising along a flat motorway or climbing a steep road to a mountain village, you'll get there!

Cooking outside
Just like with the Shelter, you take the stove from inside to outside. You cook where and how you like. Add the outdoor table and you really have all the space you need.

Awnings
Vario awning
De Waard developed the Vario awning especially for the Kompakt. Inspired by the well-known Albatros tent, this awning forms a perfect extension of the Kompakt. It's made of high-quality 340-gram Ten Cate canvas and, when properly guyed out, is even storm-proof. Thanks to its sloping design, rainwater drains away well too. With just three poles you set the awning up quickly and easily. So wherever you are, you'll stay dry and sheltered.

Airtube awning
De Waard's unique awning was developed especially for the Kompakt. The use of airtubes instead of tent poles and a zip-in groundsheet make this awning so special. You also set the awning up easily and quickly. Thanks to the blackout-capable windows and door, this awning gives you a great extension of your living and sleeping space.

Frequently asked questions about the Kompakt
- Build your Kompakt
At Kip you pay a fixed price, no haggling. In the configurator you build your own Kompakt and immediately see what it costs with your options.
Rather hit the road straight away? In our outlet (in Dutch) we regularly offer ex-rental, showroom and pre-owned models.
You choose between an extra sleeping place and a fixed toilet. On the outside they are the same size.
The Travel has an extra seat at the rear, which you can convert into a bed for a child. A portable toilet fits under that seat. The Adventure has a fixed toilet, the kitchen at the rear and a tall cabinet; it sleeps two. Want to sit inside the Adventure too without clearing the bed? Then choose the top table option: during the day it turns the foot end into a small seating area.
That depends on how much you want to take with you. At 1,000 kg a Kompakt Travel has 200 kg of payload for options and luggage; at 1,200 kg that becomes 400 kg. For the Adventure it is 190 kg or 390 kg.
You choose the upgrade when you buy, for an extra charge. Also check that your car is allowed to tow the higher weight.
